Mood is a discreet brand where the first impression and product presentation are essential.
Users need to feel confident in what they're buying, and that confidence starts with how the product is visually presented before a single word is read.

The hero section of a key landing page was carrying that responsibility with a static image: one angle, one moment, no depth. It wasn't broken, but it was leaving something on the table. We saw an opportunity to make the product feel more real without changing the layout, the copy, or the offer.

A product deserves to be experienced, not just seen. We asked ourselves: what if the first thing a visitor encountered wasn't a photograph, but the product coming to life in 3D?
We believed that giving users a more complete, dynamic view of the product in the opening seconds of their visit would reduce uncertainty, increase visual engagement, and ultimately drive more conversions. Not through persuasion, but through clarity and craft.
We replaced the static hero image with a rotating 3D product GIF, purpose-built to show the product from multiple angles in a seamless loop. Every frame was considered: the rotation speed, the angles chosen, the way light moved across the product, all designed to ensure the motion felt premium and intentional rather than decorative or distracting.
The result was a hero that communicated form, structure, and quality at a glance, while staying true to Mood's minimalist, discreet design direction. No layout changes. No new messaging. Just a better way to show the product.

The intent was to improve immediate product understanding while maintaining the same minimalist and discreet design direction.
No other changes were made to the page during the test.

Static images ask users to imagine a product. Motion lets them discover it. The rotating visual reduced the cognitive effort required to understand what the product looks like, while the quality of the execution reinforced trust in the brand. When something feels considered, users feel more confident, and confidence converts.
Delight isn't decoration. This test is proof that investing in how a product feels to discover can be just as impactful as any funnel optimization. A single design decision, made with intention and executed with care, moved the needle by 16%. When design is given the space to do its job well, the numbers follow.
